Chris Higginson was leading a safari in Murchison Falls National Park several years ago when late in the afternoon, as the clients were taking a sundowner, he took a walk through some wild looking bush land.
Having followed a hippo track he climbed up a steep bank to find himself looking out across a beautiful expanse of the river Nile. From where he stood, on the south bank of the national park, the sun began to set and the immediate view was breath taking. Pods of hippos grunted to one another and a large herd of elephants walked majestically through the water on the opposite side of the river. After a short while he left, but with the intention of returning.
Murchison Falls is an incredible National Park, it's one of Uganda's finest and the land that we eventually acquired on the south bank of the Nile is superbly located for fishing, boat trips and safari. With a little bit of imagination and thought, we hope over time to be able to develop it into something quite special.
